War Cry Skills

The Barbarianīs War Cries are the closest to what he has as magical skills, but they are still firmly entrenched in the Barbarianīs melee orientation.  Many of them deal with battle and how he can influence it with a mighty call.

All of the War Cries are active skills, and are accompanied by a graphical display of some kind or another when used.  The tree is roughly divided into three types or War Cries, on the left are those that influence the Barbarianīs enemies in a battle.  In the middle are War Cries that will most likely boot his compatriots prowess in a battle, improving their chances and bestowing other benefits.  On the right are skills the help the Barbarian harvest items from corpses of enemies he has already dispatched.  The Barbarianīs art is warfare, and the War Cries an excellent way to express this art.

Howl (Req: Clvl 1)
The Howl War Cry strikes fear in the hearts of the enemies of the Barbarian who have drawn close to him.  Howl has a limited range and probably wonīt frighten larger, deadlier enemies away.

Find Heart (Req: Clvl 1)
Find Heart enables the Barbarian to harvest hearts from enemy corpses.  Hearts can then be transmuted to Healing Potions throught the use of the Barbarianīs Convert skill, which is a basic skill.

Taunt (Req: Clvl 5, Howl)
The Taunt War Cry draws enemies to the Barbarian as his gestures and words incense them.  This may not sound useful at first glance, but with Diablo IIīs advanced AI it will allow the Barbarian to focus on enemies without them fleeing.

Shout (Req: Clvl 5, Howl)
The Shout cry increases the Barbarianīs, and those friendly to him, Defense Rating.  This cry can be of a lot of use as it is directly influential on combat and how the battle will turn out.

Find Item (Req: Clvl 10, Find Heart)
Find Item allows the Barbarian to locate items on the corpses of his vanquished enemies,  It is unknown the caliber of items he will find with skill, they could be mundane for weak enemies and perhaps magical for stronger ones.

Battlecry (Req: Clvl 15, Howl, Taunt)
What the Battlecry does in unknown, but we will try to venture a guess.  We think, due to the prerequisite skills, that it will most likely decrease his enemyīs Defense Rating, making it easier to hit them.

Battle Orders (Req: Clvl 20, Howl, Shout)
It is unknown what Battle Orders might do, but following the design of the tree it most likely gives the Barbarian and his friends some added benefits.  It might increase the Attack Rating for the party.

Find Gold (Req: Clvl 20, Find Heart, Find Item)
In lieu of what its two required skills do, we would say that Find Gold is kikely to do the same, yet finding gold instead.  This ability could be used to fill the Barbarianīs pockets rather quickly with gold.

War Cry (Req: Clvl 25, Howl, Taunt, Battlecry, Shout, Battle Orders)
The namesake of the entire tree, War Cry is also an unknown skill.  We think it will probably have some tremendouus effect on the Barbarianīs foes, crippling them as he charges headlong into battle.

Battle Command (Req: Howl, Shout, Battle Orders)
Also unknown, Battle Command will probably bring a great benefit to the Barbarian and his friends when used.  No dount that as a Clvl 25 skill it could spell the difference between life and death in the harsh battles ahead.
