Every curse is an active skill, and the effect is increased as you put more skill points in the curse.  Each curse also has a graphical effect to show you which creatures are affected by a curse.  These curses won´t your friends in Friendly or Neutral mode, but will effect those Hostile to you as they would any other enemy.  The tree is basically divided up into three types of curses.  On the left are curses that effecr how monster move and react.  In the middle are curses that change how damage effects a creature.  On the right are curses that change a creature´s attributes in combat.

Amplify Damage (Req: Clvl 1)
Amplify Damage causes all damage taken by creatures to be increased.  This spell can be a lifesaver to Necromancer, as he does not pack a great deal of melee-oriented power on his spare frame.  This also increases the effectiveness of his other spells.

Dim Vision (Req: Clvl 5)
This curse reduces the afflicted creatures´ light radius, making it harder for them to see the Necromancer.  This will aid the Necromancer in flight, as effectively blind creatures will not pursue him.

Weaken (Req: Clvl 5, Amplify Damage)
Weaken reduces its targets´ Attack Rating, making them deal less damage to the Necromancer.  This will helo the Necromancer last longer in combat as each opponent can do less.

Iron Maiden (Req: Clvl 10, Amplify Damage)
The Iron Maiden Curse causes all damage done by an opponent to also be visited upon the opponent.  With this curse at the ready, a Necromancer´s enemies could indeed kill themselves before they kill him.

Terror (Req: Clvl 10, Weaken, Amplify Damage)
The Terror curse inflicts great fear in its targets, causing them to flee from the Necromancer in order to save their lives.  This skill could get a player out of many jams when enemies try to overwhelm him or her.

Attract (Req: Clvl 15, Dim Vision)
The Attract Curse most likely causes enemies to group together in freeze in a huddle, making it easy to dispatch them.  This curse would be very effective against enemies who appear in large groups.

Reverse Vampire (req: Clvl 15, Amplify Damage, Iron Maiden)
Reverse Damage allows the Necromancer and his friends to draw life from accursed enemies, as if they were all wielding vampiric weapons.  This curse will be insanely useful on the battlefield.

Confuse (Req: Clvl 20, Dim Vision, Attract)
This curse will confuse afflicted enemies, making the run around crazily and possibly attacking their former friends in their confusion.  This will serve to both thin out a battle and allow the Necromancer to escape conflict.

Decripify (Req: Clvl 20, Weaken, Terror, Amplify Damage)
It is presently unknown what Decripify will do, but keeping in the context of this side of the skil tree it will probably weaken your opponents a great deal, possibly making them flee from you in the process.

Lower Resist (Req: Clvl 25, Amplift Damage, Iron Maiden, Reverse Vampire)
This curse is likely to drop a creature´s resistances temporarily, making it much easier to damage them with magic.  This will be espicially useful in conjunction with the Necromancer´s poison skills.
